The Himalayan Community Development Society (HCDS) is a place for everyone who wishes to engage in Bodhisatva activities with a singular goal of reducing the sufferings ‘Dukkha’ of all sentient beings. Keeping in heart the four immeasurable truths about life, recognizing that life is precious, honoring that being born as a human is rare and special, the HCDS strives to create a world free of suffering in all forms and manifestations.

We encourage that those who have material wealth share their material resources, those who have wisdom offer teachings, those who have spiritual power offer healing and counseling, those who have skills donate labor-- so each sentient being will have a chance to live a better life. The HCDS is an open society, we invite everyone to become partners and leaders in this effort.
